I went to Japan at the beginning of October this year and I bought a lot of not needed, but much loved goodies! First part of my loot begins here…
Paper-based loot from Japan!
In comparison to my previous visit, I did not buy as many anime-related goodies. A break-down of the paper-based loot above:
- Vampire Knight Artbook
– Hakuouki Clear Folders
– Hakuouki – Okita Souji Key-ring
– Hakuouki – Okita Souji Stickers (yes I am Okita obsessed *__*)
– Hakuouki – Saito Hajime Bag Holder
– Hetalia Axis Powers Poster
– Durarara Poster
– Dengeki Girl’s Style October issue
The Dengeki Girl’s Style magazine came with a special booklet, packed with information on the new Hakuouki game (Hakuouki Reimeiroku)! I am not sure whether anyone is playing the game or has played it already… If you have, how do you find it?
Hijikata is too pretty... *_*
From a quick browse through the booklet, the game is set before the previous games and the protagonist is a guy named Ibuki Ryuunosuke. The story follows that Ryuunosuke’s mother intended for him to become a samurai, thus he had a very strict upbringing. This led him to dislike samurai in general. After his mother had passed away, he travelled to Kyoto aimlessly. On the way, he got mugged and beaten up (why is he so weak when he had received proper samurai training!?); got rescued by someone who belongs to a ‘aspire-to-be samurai’s’ group and was forced to tag along with them. The group is somehow linked with the Shinsengumi and that is how the protagonist gets all close and personal with our favourite bishies! Some screenshots from the booklet after the cut.

Used Hijikata’s and Saito bath salts last week. Each packet comes with a sticker and two separate packs of bath salts. The sticker is printed with the line that the character is supposed to say before you go to a mixed-sex onsen with them *nose-bleeds*!
Mixed-sex onsen is not something of the past: we still get them nowadays! All the onsen hotels I have stayed in before contain mixed-sex onsen! I DID NOT want to go to one at all! If Souji were to come with me then that would be a different story XDD;;.

March flew by so quickly! From mid March to the end of March, my friends came over and I took them around London and Rome. Travelling was more exhausting than work because you have to be focussed from morning till late evening. After they have left, I went back to work and I needed time to readjust myself to pressure and weekend work. Now I have caught up with life once again – I promise that I will start updating regularly again ;;^^. To start off, some photos from my trip!
Salami and spinach pizza with A LOT of cheese!
St Peter Basilica - one of the grandest buildings I have seen!

Want to write a little about life before my next review post, which will probably be on Hakuouki (surprise surprise ;;^^): either Hijikata’s route or Saito’s route. I am enjoying Hijikata’s route a lot! Didn’t think that I would like it that much because he treats the protagonist like a child (well he is 28 and he acts older than his age), but after the mid-way point you get to see his strength and his manliness as he struggles to support Shinsengumi. It is hard to not fall for him from that point onwards! It doesn’t help that he is so pretty too…
Found an amazing fan-made video of Durarara X Hakuouki! Two of my favourite series together, love it *_*~

What do you do when you are an Otaku; you have some money but no time to go to Japan to buy ACG goods? You browse the animate shop online; drool at the goodies and maybe arrange for a carrier to ship them to you (despite the high cost and the trouble). Since I have been to the animate shop in Ikebukuro before (you can refer to my previous post for more details), I miss it when I have the urge to spend ;;XD. Lately, I have been browsing its website and checking what goods are out~
Want item no 1: Kawaii Hakuouki plush!

Remember how I was moaning about the lack of Natsume’s merchandise a year ago? The lovely people in ALTAIR has announced the pre-order of the figure Natsume from Natsume Yuujinchou!
Love Natsume’s expression! It looks exactly like the way he smiles in the anime… brings back that ‘curing’ feeling~ Moreover, the embroidery on his outer layer of clothing is painted so beautifully! This is a must get for me *_*!

February AGC-related purchase! Bought Kuroshitsuji volume 7 and Vampire Knight volume 11, both in Chinese; Lala April issue and Durarara novels volume 1 to 3 in Chinese.
The front cover of Lala is of La corda d’oro 3! Kisaragi Brothers love *o*! I haven’t bought the game yet: spent too much this month on ACG goods (Hakuouki bath salts, Hakuouki figures, Hetalia plush, Final Fantasy 13 etc) so I will have to wait until next month. Wasn’t looking forward to it at first, but after reading that Fami gave it a rating of 8/8/9/9 (Platinum), Koei must have created a solid game worth playing! I like Kyouya and Arata the best from first impression. Probably will chase Kyouya on my first attempt~
